Trust God to Provide!
And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to you. Genesis 28:22
Have you ever been really worried about money? Maybe your family was going through a tough time, and you heard your parents talking about bills. It can feel pretty scary when you’re not sure if there will be enough!
In the Bible, there was a guy named Jacob who had messed up a lot in his life. But when he met God, everything changed! God spoke to Jacob and said, “I am with you. I will watch over you everywhere you go. And I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you” (Genesis 28:15, NIRV). Jacob was so grateful for God’s promise to him that he turned around and made a promise to God too—he promised to give God a tenth of everything he earned.
That’s called tithing—giving God the first ten percent of everything we receive. Jacob wasn’t just being generous; he was showing that he trusted God to take care of him. And you know what? Throughout the rest of Jacob’s life (even when things got tough!), God blessed him and took care of him!
When we give to God first, we’re showing Him that we trust Him to provide what we need. It might seem scary to give away money when you don’t have much. But God promises to take care of us when we put Him first!
Take Action: Do you get an allowance or earn money from chores? Try this: Set aside 10% (that’s one dollar out of every ten dollars) to give to God. You can put it in the offering at church! At first it might feel hard to give that money away. But watch what happens—you might be amazed at how God provides for you and your family when you trust Him with your money!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
