Every Little Bit Counts!
Arise, go to Zarephath…. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. 1 Kings 17:9
There’s a cool story about a nine-year-old boy named Charlie. When he heard that a police officer had died, Charlie wanted to help the officer’s family. So he set up a lemonade stand to raise money! When a news reporter asked Charlie why he did it, Charlie said, “I just saw a need and I thought that is what Jesus would do. I thought I could help!”1
Charlie understood something important: You don’t have to be rich or grown up to help people! Even small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference!
The Bible is full of stories about people who gave even though they didn’t have much. There was a widow (a woman whose husband had died) who only had enough food for one more meal. But when the prophet Elijah asked her to share, she did! And God made her food multiply so she never ran out!
Another woman named Dorcas wasn’t rich, but she spent her time making clothes for people who needed them. The Bible says she was “full of good works and charitable deeds” (Acts 9:36)!
You don’t have to wait until you’re a grown-up with lots of money to be generous! You can be kind and helpful right now!
Take Action: Look for ONE way you can help someone this week! Maybe you can:
- Help your mom or dad with chores without being asked
- Share your lunch with someone who forgot theirs
- Make a card for someone who’s having a hard time
- Use your allowance to buy something for someone in need
- Pray for someone who’s sick or sad
Remember, it doesn’t have to be something big! Even small acts of kindness show God’s love to others. What will you do?

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
