From Blurry to Clear
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12
Have you ever tried to see your reflection in a dirty window or a foggy mirror? It’s all blurry and hard to see, right? You know you’re there, but you can’t see yourself clearly!
A long time ago, mirrors weren’t like the clear glass mirrors we have today. They were made of polished metal, and the reflection was kind of fuzzy and unclear. That’s the kind of mirror the apostle Paul was talking about in this verse!
Paul said that right now we “see” God like looking in one of those fuzzy old mirrors—not super clearly. We know a lot about God from the Bible! We can feel His presence. We can see how He works in our lives. But we still have questions. There are things we don’t understand. We can’t see everything perfectly yet.
But one day we will see Jesus face to face! When we get to heaven, we won’t have to wonder what Jesus looks like anymore. We’ll be standing right in front of Him! All our questions will be answered. Everything that seems fuzzy and confusing now will finally make perfect sense!
Isn’t that amazing to think about? One day, every follower of Jesus will see Him with their own eyes. The waiting will be over. And it will be more wonderful than we can even imagine!
Think About It: What’s one question you’d like to ask Jesus when you see Him face to face? What do you think it will be like to actually look at Jesus? Take a moment to thank God that this isn’t just a dream, it’s a promise that will really happen!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
