Invisible Clothes
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12, NIV
When you get dressed in the morning, you probably pick out a shirt, pants, maybe a hoodie. You might even think about what colors look good together! But have you ever thought about getting dressed on the inside?
The Bible tells us to “clothe” ourselves with good things like compassion (caring about others), kindness (being nice), humility (thinking about others first), gentleness (being soft and careful with people), and patience (not getting mad when things take forever). These are like invisible clothes that people can still totally see!
When someone is kind, you notice, right? When someone is patient with you, it feels really good! When someone is gentle instead of harsh, you feel safe. These “invisible clothes” make a huge difference in how we treat people and how they feel around us!
Remember, you are God’s representative wherever you go! When you’re at school, at practice, at a friend’s house, or just hanging out...people are watching you. And if you say you’re a Christian, they’re watching to see if you act like one! When you’re clothed in kindness, gentleness, and patience, people see Jesus in you!
So before you walk out the door today, make sure you’re dressed on the inside! Put on those invisible clothes of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. They look good on you!
Take Action: Pick one of the “invisible clothes” from this verse: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, or patience. Focus on wearing that one thing all day today. Look for chances to show it to the people around you. At the end of the day, think about how it went!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
